Lifeline Critical Care Transport
Incorporates 365 Air Medical On-Demand Software
Boardman, OH, April 29, 2008 -- After
several months of trial testing, LifeLine Critical Care Transport, based
at Clarian Health in Indianapolis, IN, has implemented 365 Air Medical™
on-demand software for its crew members.
The customizable software from ThinkThroughTools is designed to
help Air Medical Transport programs like LifeLine increase Safety, AMRM (Air
Medical Resource Management), Customer-Centricity, Outreach Effectiveness and
Referral Development. The software suite includes: 365 CriticalCUSTOMERCare™
(365 CCC), 365 Safety AMRM™, 365 AOLS™ (Advanced Outreach Life Support) and 365
OutreachU™.
This suite serves as a key recurrent training process for staff, according to
Rich Obertots, CEO of ThinkThroughTools. Crew members are provided learning
lessons, scenarios and quizzes related to their duties. The process, intended to
be part of the daily culture and operations, takes less than 10 minutes to
complete and is integrated into each shift brief to assure daily consistency.
LifeLine, whose aviation vendor is Texas-based OMNIFLIGHT, was one of three U.S.
based programs pre-selected and provided special preference by ThinkThroughTools
to help use, evaluate and adapt the initial version of the software during trial
testing in 2007.
"Based on the experience that I have had with Rich over the years, and the work
that he did with our marketing and outreach efforts, I felt it was a good
product and a good tool to augment what we're doing with our transport
services," said Steve Johnson, Director of Business Development for Clarian
Health. "I was pretty excited that Rich wanted to choose our organization as a
potential trial site. It made us feel good that he trusted our assessment of it
over anyone else he could have chosen."
Johnson said that there were two features that attracted LifeLine to 365.
"One was the format and the technology--available 24/7--which is essential in a
healthcare environment," he said. "The second piece to that was the reputation
of some of the other products and service that we have accessed through Rich and
his company over the years."
ThinkThroughTools is working aggressively to include content that includes rotor
wing, fixed wing and ground and content that links to accreditation standards.
Although 365 testing is sufficiently complete, ThinkThroughTools plans to
continue making modifications and using LifeLine as one of the primary
innovation sites for the new iterations.
"LifeLine was extremely helpful to provide us with input and we look forward to
continuing that process with them now that they have integrated 365 with their
crew," said Obertots. "In addition to Steve, I also want to thank their Project
Coordinator, Lynda Branham and all the LifeLine staff who helped during the
trial and pre-implementation phase. We couldn’t have effectively developed our
365 Air Medical™ platforms if we didn’t have complete candor and authentic
feedback from them during the trials on what worked and what was challenging. We
will continue to rely on LifeLine Critical Care Transport’s engagement and ideas
for improvement to set new industry standards – especially in daily Safety and
AMRM performance and accountability."
